The University's Bylaws provide that seven members of the GW Board of Trustees will be Alumni Trustees, of whom two must be Recent Alumni Trustees. At the request of the Board of Trustees, the GWAA annually makes recommendations for individuals to serve in these positions. The GWAA makes these recommendations according to a program statement it has adopted, and which has been endorsed by the Board of Trustees.
The GWAA is currently accepting applications for alumni trustee and recent alumni trustee. The deadline for applications is October 26, 2009.
