Welcome to the GW LGBT Alumni Association (LGBT AA) page! The GW LGBT AA represents the interests of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) GW alumni to the University and to provide advisory support for GW’s LGBT alumni programs.  The GW LGBT AA fosters connections with the LGBT alumni community through events, reunions, networking opportunities and other special activities and supports university initiatives for current LGBT students at GW.

GW has had a strong LGBT student organization presence on campus since 1971.  Since  2007, the GW LGBT alumni community started participating in GW’s annual Alumni Weekend,  as well as the Capital Pride and Black Pride Festivals in Washington, D.C.   Since 2009, the GW LGBT AA has hosted an annual LGBT Alumni Reception at the Human Rights Campaign.   After several years of planning and outreach efforts, the GW LGBT Alumni Association recently assembled its first official executive board (See Below).

We are constantly growing and looking for ways to partner with GW alumni and students who are soon-to-be members of the alumni community.  The GW LGBT Alumni Association welcomes all GW alumni and friends interested in supporting excellence in education, and building pride, spirit, and community.
