Two engineering graduate students placed first in the Game Development Category of the 2008 U.S. Imagine Cup. The students’ game, Ecocism, is a futuristic arcade-style experience that demands players manage their resources strategically, restore the environment, and fend off onslaughts from enemy combatants.

The Washington Nationals called up Mike O’Connor, BBA ’02, from Triple-A Columbus on April 24. O’Connor recorded the victory in the Nationals win over the Mets that evening.

As a result of their National Runner-Up Finish at the 2007-2008 National Championship Tournament, the GW Mock Trial team will begin next year ranked #1 in the country. Rankings are based on a team’s performance in the last three National Championships.
