Two recent GW health-related studies caught our attention. Research by Dr. Peter Hotez, chair of GW’s Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Tropical Medicine, about regions of our country where tropical diseases affect poor Americans was featured in The New York Times. A different study, led by Sara Rosenbaum, chair of the Department of Health Policy, found that the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment competitive bidding program that started July 1 could make it more difficult for seniors to manage their diabetes care.
- GW archaeology students blog about their experiences digging at Megiddo (biblical Armageddon) in Israel, on a project co-directed by Eric Cline, associate professor of classics and anthropology. To view excavation photos, click here.
