Spirit of GW Awards Nomination Form

Please fill out the nomination form to nominate someone for a Spirit of GW Award. The deadline is Monday, March 3, 2025.

The Spirit of GW Awards Committees will evaluate and present award recommendations to the Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations and the DAR Executive Leadership Council for review and final approval. One recipient in each award category will be selected by early June. The awards ceremony will take place during Alumni & Families Weekend on Saturday, October 25, 2025. (Note: The Spirit of GW Awards follow the guidelines as set forth in the University's Naming Policy, Section H, as it deals with revocation of honorific naming.)

A competitive nomination submission should include these items:

  • At least one letter of reference
  • Nominee’s resume/career summary 
  • Websites or articles describing nominee’s impact 

All supplemental information/documents to support the nomination must be emailed, in one PDF, to kswhite@gwu.edu under the subject heading "Spirit Award Nomination Supplemental Information – [Nominee’s Name]”.

Limit submissions to no more than 10 pages.
