If you live in the Washington, D.C., area or plan on visiting campus, be sure to use our on-campus discounts and resources for alumni.
The alumni directory is an easy way to stay connected with fellow alumni, exchange career advice, and reconnect with old classmates.

Look up your GW UserID and log in your GW email account to access the Alumni Directory, e-resources from GW Libraries, and more.
Transcripts, Diplomas, and Degree Verification
The Office of the Registrar maintains all student academic records from enrollment through graduation. Alumni can contact the Office of the Registrar for a range of services including diploma replacement, GW degree verification, transcript requests, and certification of enrollment documents (for loan deferments, Social Security benefits, health insurance, or other services).
All GW alumni are eligible to receive an Alumni GWorld card to stay connected with the campus community (Note: While GWorld is issuing alumni cards, alumni are currently not allowed to access most GW facilities because of Covid-19 compliance and related access restrictions.) Student GWorld cards usually expire on September 1, after graduation. At that point, you can get an Alumni GWorld card. Visit the GWorld Card Office to get a new card or replace an existing one.
Colonial Cash is the primary spending account connected to your Alumni GWorld Card. Colonial Cash can be used with GWorld merchants or to receive discounts, including GW parking, around campus. Alumni can add Colonials Cash to their cards at any time and transfer any remaining student Colonial Cash balance. Funds expire after 36 months of inactivity.
Swipe Out Hunger program
Anyone with a GWorld Card, including alumni, can donate unused Colonial Cash to support students facing food insecurity. All donated funds are split evenly between The Store and the Abraham Family Fund Scholarship. Donations can be made via the GET app or by emailing email@example.com from a GW email address to request to make a donation.
